Construction of an Urban Waste Preparation Unit (PRUC)

Within the scope of PERSU 2020, and to meet the targets for reducing the disposal of biodegradable municipal waste (BMW) in landfills, the municipal waste preparation unit for composting (PRUC) was built. (2018/2019)

Signing of the contract for the construction of the Urban Waste Preparation Unit (PRUC).

Within the scope of PERSU 2020, Valorminho signed a contract in 2018 with G. HOFLE, lda and JMR2, Obras Públicas e Engenharia, lda, for the construction of an Urban Waste Preparation Unit, to meet the targets for Reducing the Disposal of Biodegradable Urban Waste (RUB) in landfills.

Implementation of the new Valorminho brand.

The year 2016 marked the implementation of the new Valorminho brand, supported by a group strategy that embodies a more integrated way of working. This brand was implemented across the company's various communication channels and disseminated to all employees, partners, and the public, with the aim of renewing the image and allowing for better identification with Valorminho's values.

Valorminho's certification according to environmental, quality, safety, and occupational health standards. The implementation of the integrated management system culminates in certification according to environmental (ISO 14001), quality (ISO 9001), and occupational health and safety (OHSAS 18001) standards.

Valorminho Constitution

Valorminho – Valorização e Tratamento de Resíduos Sólidos, S.A., created by Decree-Law no. 113/96, of August 5th, is the concessionaire of the Multimunicipal System for Sorting, Selective Collection, Recovery and Treatment of Urban Solid Waste in the Minho Valley, which covers the municipalities of Caminha, Melgaço, Monção, Paredes de Coura, Valença, and Vila Nova de Cerveira.
