The percentage of recycled waste continues to increase in Portugal, but the figures are still small compared to the total amount of waste collected.

By separating packaging (paper, cardboard, plastic, metal or glass) you are taking the first step in the recycling process. You are also promoting the conservation of raw materials and contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. Your small gesture makes all the difference.

Valorminho carries out a selective collection of waste that the population voluntarily places in the recycling points located in the municipalities of Melgaço, Monção, Valença, Vila Nova de Cerveira, Paredes de Coura and Caminha. This collection takes place from Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 2 pm and from 2 pm to 10 pm, for the three streams: paper/cardboard, plastic/metal and glass.

After collection, the material is sent to Valorminho's facilities, where the waste is weighed and unloaded in different locations, undergoing more careful separation and where the materials are baled by different categories and subsequently sent to the managing entities for recycling.
